 RICHARDS SPUR UNIDENTIFIED

PELYCOSAUR

Below,  pictures in  lateral,  anterior, and ventral views, of an unidentified tetrapod that could be assigned to pelycosaurs on the basis of  deeply excavated base of neural spine, strongly medially tilted zygapophyses, and sharp edged keel on the ventral surface of the centrum. it seems a sphenacodontid vertebra  except for the fact  that the zygapophyses extend greatly laterally beyond the centrum margin.  From  Richards Spur (Dolese Quarry)- Comanche Co. Oklahoma. Lower Permian.
