Above: picture of  a possible Thadeosaurus ossified sternum. Thadeosaurus and Hovasaurus are very similar, the above specimens are here considered as belonging to Thadeosaurus on the basis of the absence of the gastroliths usually present in great quantity in Hovasaurus skeletons. From the Lower Sakamena Formation - Madagascar.
