Hovasaurus boulei, a Tangasaurid Younginiform of Madagascar,  was described by J. Piveteau (1926) and after, in great detail by P.J. Currie. It is very similar to Thadeosaurus, except for the size of the neural spines of the dorsal and caudal vertebrae and the enormous quantity of gastroliths in the abdomen region. (see the previous Thadeosaurus section)
