Discosauriscids are seymouriamorphs known from the upper Carboniferous to the base of the upper Permian and are represented by hundreds of specimens FromEurope and Asia. Discosauriscus differs from Seymouria mainly by characters that may reflect the immaturity of the available specimens, as the presence of lateral-line sulci.
