THRAUSMOSAURUS SERRATIDENS Synapsida-Incertae Sedis
Described by Fox (1962), on the basis of few maxillary or dentary fragments, Thrausmosaurus is characterized by the presence of teeth strongly recurved in the distal third of the length, the same teeth have serrated cutting edges, with the serration of the posterior edge extending till the base of the teeth. 1) Thrausmosaurus: maxilla fragment in lateral and medial view 2) Thrausmosaurus: the same maxilla in posterior and anterior view 3) Thrausmosaurus: the same maxilla enlarged to show serrations on the teeth
