LEPOSPONDYLI

Lepospondyls are a group of small tetrapods, some of them have a skeleton similar to the one of the early amniotes, characterized by the presence of completely ossified verebrae with spool shaped centra, but contrary to amniotes, they lost the atlas intercentrum and the atlas pleurocentrum is formed by a single cilindrical element.
