DIADECTOMORPHA

Diadectomorphs is a group of tetrapods characterized by an amniote like skeleton, but extremely plesiomorphic, they are derived in having a single median postparietal, otic trough in the ventral flange of opisthotic, axial intercentrum with strong anterior process and humerus short and robust without shaft. Till today their amniote nature is still debated, and in general they are considered the sister group of all the other amniotes, but Berman suggested a possible closest relationship with synapsids.
