Cardiocephalus Peabodyi was described by Carroll (1978) on the basis of  an almost complete skeleton, two skulls and disarticulated material from Fort Sill(Richards Spur)-Dolese Quarry,  Comanche Co. Oklahoma. Lower Permian. In none of the three skulls the palate and the occiput was exposed for detailed description. Below, some pictures of a new, well preserved, skull with some details of the palate and the occiput.
